Headed to NO for new years. How is the mint as a tourist attraction. Anyone been since it reopened after Katrina?

I found the mint to have a decent coin collection. If I recall a collector has some of their gold collection on loan. The mint (now a museum) has a collection of various types of coins struck at the mint, not all in the best shape, but a collection nonetheless. There is also a confederate half dollar re-strike and a counterfeit coin mold for casting. The mint also has various artifacts from when it was in operation including scales, bullion carts and mint records among other things. I feel that there is many things lacking from the museum, as the mint not only served as a mint. It has been a couple of years since I have visited, but I enjoyed the trip. Be sure to walk around and explore some too.
