During traveling around I pick up a few rolls to go through while sitting in the hotel. Sometimes I get new rolls or sometimes CWR with older coins. I have two thoughts. The older CWR will likely have a mix and are fun to search, but the new rolls have coins not seen yet or gone through. Which type do you consider the better ones to get?
I guess it's the luck of the draw. I've had luck with both. Customer wrapped rolls could mean they have already been search thru. But on the other hand, it could mean that they have been sitting around for many years. I also like the new rolls, looking for minor errors......or major. I've done the same thing while traveling on business, hitting banks or even LCS.
I have had better luck searching halfs from CWR for silver. Pennies and nickels have been a mix and don't really know one better then the other. MD Coin Hunter
My results are mixed based on coin denomination. Only done CWR Halves or cents, a little dimes. CWR Halves often produce something unless they're a dump. CWR cents have been terrible for me. CWR also bad.
I'm going on a long business trip next week. Will be going through 3 states for a nine hour drive one way and then back again. I want to come up with the best strategy for getting CWR of halves. Any suggestions? Going through Colorado, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
It seems to be the smaller the bank the better the chance of Coin Wrapped Rolls. I'll come up with a map of all the towns I will be going through. I'll bring enough cash to support the addiction.
