Just finished paying this one off! A gorgeous and very rare example Of the Series 651 5 Cents only issued for two weeks then withdrawn 66PPQ is the highest grade with none higher!!

One of the destruction officers who oversaw the destruction of the Series 651 fractionals in the Far East was at MPCFest IX. Numerous packs of the notes were kept by those who were part of the destruction team. Prices for these notes have come down considerably over the years. When they first hit the market they were about $1,250.00 per note. A large number of them have been sold recently in the Heritage weekly auctions where they are going for $150.00-250.00 each.
I constantly modern Heritage weekly auctions to see what there Offering, But the problem is there is no recent data for a PCGS 66PPQ there are only 15 in population, Thats not alot!! I just recently Bought a Series 691 $20 in PCGS 68PPQ there,s 21 of those and I havent seen one for sale in a very long time!! So i jumped on it!! My feeling here if you wait long enough and you lived forever you Might be able to build the best set of Mpc for a great price Unfortunatley that thinking is just not realistic, Some times you Pay more some times you pay less but you cant have it your way All the time, What it is, Is what it is
