I was thrilled to receive my subscription order for the new 2005 U. S. Uncirculated Mint Sets yesterday!! They really look sharp. I love the new finish. Anybody else get theirs? What do you think of them?
Hmm... I definitely have to disagree, but I certainly respect your opinion. I think the details are really great on all the coins in my sets, and the new satin finish serves to finally distinguish them from coins released for regular circulation, such as those you can purchase at banks (i.e. cents, nickels, dimes, quarters). I'm very happy with mine, to say the least!
I'm with you on this one coin stasher, as I believe this new finish is what will make a better looking American coin for a change. A step forward and not backwards, so to speak. I believe they are quite nice and I appreciate the effort made by the mint in keeping each coin in the set fresh and unmarked.
I've been waiting to see the new mint set before I orderded one. Can anyone post a pic of the new coins?? Or better yet a side by each comparison, new finish with old?? Thank You
