Another creative ebayer sells flaws as errors. It looks an awfull lot like clad blisters to me. http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-P-Lincoln-...dual?hash=item1e5823fe80&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
What are clad blisters? I can imagine little bubles forming and then harening but how do they form on coins?
I could not get a definative answer other than it is common with plating over zink. the blisters range from lines to small dots. I would think that they are caused imperfections on the surface of the zinc or deposits that would not let the copper adhere properly. I found a passage from a book that says the blisters are formed when contaminats on the zinc cause the copper not to adhere and trapped contaminants react with the zink causing the blister.
I know! people are looking for errors on the new Lincolns hoping to find anything. Crazy stuff going on ebay everyday good thing it only sold for $1.45 but $3.25 shipping for 1 Lincoln cent Wow!!! someones making a little change of shipping. Bob
