Well I got the Landis Studios email about a 20% off sale this weekend - and I love the Felix Schlag Jefferson nickels that I found by virtue of fellow members here, which is how I wound up on the mailing list, so this is all Coin Talk's fault! So I jumped on a couple of things - I also wanted the 3 oz silver Octopus and Angler Fish, but the budget is limited. Anyway, here are my latest acquisitions, the space ship is 3 oz and the nickel is 5 pennyweight / 1/4 ounce, both in silver, what do you think?
Remember, Felix Schlag (1891-1974) won the design competition in 1938 for the Jefferson nickel - and Landis did a limited edition of 2 in silver - one regular, one proof (I think) that Zoidmeister posted that I had to have previously, lol (thank you Z!). These are them!
