ms-64, it looks like the one that I missed out on by just a few minutes! It was the first commemorative quarter, the first coin featuring an historical person of the feminine persuasion. I still do not have one, was offered one for 425, missed it, it was sold as I was on my way to redeem it, I saw one at a coin show, cleaned and not as nice for 200 more, it was one of my first lessons in dealing with one dealer, he would make remarkable deals and offers, but if you did not have the cash right then, the deal would disappear.
Hint , one of you is a point off , so it could be a 63 or up to a 66 or anywhere in between . LOL . Big help huh . rzage
Rusty, the coin looks horrible....how about this....I will take it off your hands so you can get a better one for your collection. That is a nice one. I will go with MS66, since it has a nice strike and no contact marks that I can see. I would be surprised if it was a 63. Thanks for sharing.
I'm going to go with a 64 in this instance. Its got the look, but it is hard to tell from the photo size.
Mark says 64, but he knows nothing about these coins so it is probably a 66. Now the good is that reverse I love the color and light toning. The bad is I do not like the dark toning on the obverse(assuming I got them correct) and the reason I do not like it is because I feel it is hiding the luster. Still a very nice coin!!!!
I'll take MS63. Just as a guess though because I don't know this coin well AT ALL and I'd rather underestimate and find out later it was better.
Rusty. I'll go with a MS64. The coin seem to have No contact marks as far as I can tell and could easily go higher. It's just when the toning on silver goes to black then I think it takes away from the general eye appeal. I believe black is the last step before corrosion and damage. Store it well. Bruce
