i picked up 10 of these old checks from a bank in Chicago. they are dated 1876 and 1877, they are from the Third National Bank of Chicago. condition on these are pretty good. the purple stamps are on the back side of the checks. i think they are a cool piece of history.
Nice find I do like picking up cheques every now and then, some of them have very interesting histories attached
nice collectibles i have trouble bringing myself to actually buy items like that ... but i do know they can go up in price
