Those who are interested in Republic Indian coins, here's an interesting news.. A new mule coin is identified commemorating 'Jagadguru Shri Narayana Guru'. I have not yet got this particular coin.. I hope to get it very soon..
Biju, that will be a coin that will have to be listed in Krause.Did you manage to find a new host for your Indian Princely States coin website? You should also build a separate website for the coins of India itself (since 1835),then you can list your coins, including any mule coins from India on the website. Aidan.
Thats a good idea Aidan... I've got all types of Republic coins except 2 or 3 minor varieties. I'll post them definitely...
I had a mixed day today... It was bad because I'm diagnised with 'chicken pox'.. It was good because, I got the mule coin I was after.. But in one month, the value of this coin seems to have doubled .. I got it for $23 in UNC. Please refer the attachments.. I've put the ordinary and mule together so that everybody can distinguish.. Meanwhile, I think I can devote about 2 weeks full time to my coins... thanx to chicken pox..
Biju, that was a very good coin to have landed. Those reverses are clearly different, especially with the rim denticles. Aidan.
Aidan, there is talk of another mule coin... Its also a 5 Rs coin commemorating Dadabai Naoroji.. Well.. I keep my eyes wide open, so that I could get all the varieties.. I've a gut feeling that all these coins are going to be hot commodities within 2 or 3 years...hya:
Biju,if you can get more than one example of each of them,I'd be interested in getting them for my own collection. Aidan.
