New Indian Cent collector!

    Hey everybody I have started to collect Indian cents! I have a DANSCO book and about six coins in it at the moment anyways i was wondering if you had any advice on collecting Indian cents? I have a redbook already so I just wanted to get the opinions from you guys!

    Yes - look at this page on Rick Snow's site. This contains some good information - plus you can down load a grading guide from Rick. Rick Snow also has a red book specifically for IHC's. It also contains good information on each date in the series.

    I purchased one the red book and found one of the rare varieties in a nice grade. Netted me over 10 times what I paid for the coin.

    Depending on your budget, its always good to try collecting fine-vf so you get IHC's with nice full liberties. And start saving up for an 1877. Best wishes on your collection, can't wait to see it!

    keep a list handy for the dates you are seeking, remember to cross off the ones you get. Try to keep the set consistent, I am going for an xf set.
