    Was just wanting to know if anyone here knows how rare mint errors are on gold coins I just got back from pcgs my 1862 G1 dollar back it graded an au58 error clashed die does anyone know its value and or rarity

    Welcome,Gold errors are really really hard to get a premium for.I would say it could carry a small premium to a very specific collector.Sounds like a cool coin.you should post a pic & share.

    "GENERALLY SPEAKIN", clashed die coins have very small premiums unless the clash is significant.

    There are some exceptions though which is based more on "popularity" than "mint error" status. Specifically, the "Bugs Bunny" Franklin's as these are merely clashed dies which had a name stuck on them.

    19LYDS thanks for responding Is the fact that its on a gold coin have any significance as I was told that there was not as many errors on them do to stronger quality control.Or are you saying that the worth is the same as if it wasnt an error coin at all.
