Hello! I'm new to the forum, but have had a casual interest in coins for most of my life, I'd guess for the last 35 years, off and on. My interest is primarily in U.S. coins, and I prefer nice common date type coins. Since I'm pretty much a pure collector, I don't worry about investment value, just whether a coin is interesting to me. What brought me to the forum is a seemingly simple question, in addition to wanting an opportunity to discuss a shared interest. The seemingly simple question? How can I find on-line dealers that accept Google Checkout, or some other method of paying with a credit card other than PayPal? I prefer dealers who sell certified coins, and most of my collection is made up of other peoples' mistakes - meaning coins that people submitted hoping for a higher grade than they received.
Howdy Small Time - Welcome to the Forum !! Just about any dealer anywhere will accept credit cards. Look in the Numismatic Resources section for Coin Dealers.
i found some ok deals at amazon, but i have also seen SGS slabs there too and unfortunatly got one. make sure when you get a certified coin, its by a real company.
My first suggestion is to visit the various auction sites. They all will take credit cards and not a pay pal set up. They are all honest and you get what you bid for . . . if you're the winner. Check some of the older threads in this forum and you'll see who all the auction houses are. You'll do good if you stay with them. Aloha and welcome to the forum! The brotherhood of simple questions on coins. :kewl:
try http://www.nfccoins.com/ 0r http://www.apmex.com/ Think they take credit cards. I hate pay pal with a passion. Harry
