I’m giving them a 2009 birth year family member. What are they worth. These coins look BU.

Oh the fun of it. The anticipation is the best part. Good luck on finding something different.

They look BU because they are BU. I have a full unopened bank box of all four types. I don’t think they’re worth more than face but I keep them just because.

The worth, would be sentimental, considering the average amount minted for each one around 300 million each times 8. presidency lowest at 129 million. the us mint.gov sold many. witch are available across many websites LP1-LP4 P and D s-l500.jpg . these would certainly be unsearched, but the lowest mintage, the copper composition satin finish have the lowest mintage in modern lincoln cents like 790 thousand sets were sold (mint sets). my story is full of holes. but the value of them to me, would equate to keeping a boat anchor. they are too heavy, Im not sure the best way to look for errors, possibly one way may find more errors, the other, may have went through more machine sorters, causing damage. I dont know. but still at one time, I was very into cents, and my 2009 cents brought me alot of joy.

Sound advice. Would love to have the satin finished ones for granbabys birth year. I wasn’t into coins then. Started my craze trying to get president dollars

. Went back to the bank this week. Got 5 more rolls of 2009. I know the second one has the bent finger. Are there any in the Denver ones. Got a roll of each. @Collecting Nut @Pickin and Grinin @Mountain Man The rest are 70’s. All in bank rolls. Now what do I do with my time?

It is called an extra finger. I think that wexler has identified over a hundred different varieties for the informative years. (Lincoln sitting on the log)
I don't believe that there are any varieties on the Denver Mint cents.
What do you mean 70's? All 70's cents on the enders?

I agree with Pickin. I don’t know of any other varieties either in 2009. You can always go to another bank any buy more rolls to search.

There are some minors on the presidency (windows) and a few on Birthplace (logs at corner of cabin). But I believe these are all found on Philly coins.

You could get the rolls for around $2-$5(higher end) depending on where you pick them up. The varieties you possibly could find add to the value. I would just pack those away for a rainy day. I don't open any rolls that I aquire. Some day, maybe.
