I have been hoping to pick up a Specimen for some time (a couple years). I periodically look at the auctions on ebay and watch the prices on those I am interested in. This beauty came up last week along with a couple others from the same seller. The one I missed out on was a 2nd issue wide margin five cent removed from a shield. It graded AU and was noted as glue residue. The wide margin notes are harder to find at a decent price. I really went after this note just because of condition and centering really caught my eye. I won this by $3 with 3 seconds to go. The other late bidder doesn't know how close they came to winning. The price doubled with those last two bids but I feel I still picked it up at a very reasonable price. Hope you like it!

Any guesses on how this graded?

    Great looking fractional Darryl.
I do not see any folds, and it looks bright and well centered. My guess would be Choice uncirculated (64 or 65) with a PQ notation.
    Congratulations on your recent find.

You da man Steve, good eyes! That's a beautiful note Darryl, these don't come up too often in this type of grade.

Thank you, usually when I have seen them this nice in the past, they have been buy it now type auctions with a hefty price tag. I am really excited about this addition. It's been a while since I bought something nice currency related yet it was worth the wait.

Great specimen, Darryl! And an excellent price, relative to similar buy it now items.

I shopped them at the WFoM and the cheapest I found in the grade was $400. If you know where you can get them in that grade for that price you let me know!

$400?!?!? Wow, I was way off on my price estimate for them. I think I used an older price guide I had laying around to come up with that figure. Better just toss that one in the trash!

I know where you can get one in the same grade for around half of that :)
