New Error - 1960 D Lincoln Large Date

I haven't seen this posted or found it in any searches, but I figured that if anyone knew something about this coin, they would be on this site. The D mint mark is much higher on this coin than all the others I've checked.

The mint marks were hand punched back then. You can find them all over the place. Not an error.

 

Didn't know that, thanks. How about the word LIBERTY? I will post a pic where the letters don't align.

 

That is also normal. They aren't always completely aligned. Some letters can be larger or even weaker/stronger depending on the year.

 

Thanks again, learning as I go. I thought maybe the mint folk were trippin' that year.

 

Variety, the thing most folks are looking for. Only a few find it.
Same year, different location MM. Common, up till around 1992.
