New Empress for my collection.

    Picked up a very common Empress, but she looks pretty nice.

    AR Denarius ND 3.47g. 21mm. Rome Mint struck 165AD
    Faustina Minor wife of Marcus Aurelius
    obv. FAVSTINA AVGUSTA /Draped Bust Right
    rev. VENVS GENETRIX /Venus with Victoiola/ Shield 2750593l.jpg

    Thanks, yes it was graded as "stempelglanz". The German/Austrian/Swiss use this term for FDC.

    I really like the Denari, one they are very affordable, have diverse reverse scenes, and there are so many Emperors/Empresses/Usurpers to collect.

    Yes, Faustina was one of the better looking Empresses, Marcus Aurelius like Donald Trump had a "good eye" when picking a wife!

    It's rained so much here we are under a flood warning for the next 2 days. April saw a lot of rain & thunderstorms. May isn't looking any dryer.
    Hail from a couple of weeks ago. By the time I got out there it was already starting to melt.
