ok its official both Km and pridmore are useless for indian coins KM is a 90% disgrace U cant blame pridmore but i have at least 50 varities of coins not listed in pridmore. my head hurts. i didnt even enjoy the 3 or 4 rare coins that i found in the process PCGS and NGC both are rotten to the core they cannot i repeat cannot identify ur coin with any degree of self respect if it is from india. I should have listened to Joe when he suggested i do the running but i did not have the time. well now that i have finished the last 6 months researching i am good to go hopefully now i can cherry pick the hell out of anyone ok just wanted to warn the indian collectors on here be very careful if ur going to use km and bid. well now i am done
I would love to but i hate typing if someone would type and take pics i would love to use my experience in a way that benefits collectors
I'd love to help, and I even have some experience with this sort of thing, but you'd need someone based in India wouldn't you?
You are not the only one Early last week I submitted 43 unlisted mintmark, year and die varieties to Krause and they have asked for scans of some of the coins. Hopefully the 2011 KM catalog will more accurate for Indian coins.:hatch:
Spock, here is your opportunity to make your mark on Indian numismatics. It is now time to write a book about everything you have learned. I already told you that I will be your marketing manager and I can set up a book tour around the US for you.
Sweet! And I have a background in advertising and publishing... See? Your team is already coming together!
Just curious as to what new unlisted varieties are we talking about? are they related to the circulating common indian coins or are we talking about the brit era? Hope its the former! Thx
well we could start a catalog/book but how would i give u the details and the pics? the ignorance that KM is sprouting will destroy a whole generation of collectors
