    Rome mint. 2nd emission of Macrinus, AD 217-218. Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right
    Diadumenian standing right, holding signum and scepter; two signa to right. RIC IV 211

    var. (type of signa); Szaivert 9-10; Banti 4.Fine.

    That's much better. You can use too much light and the coin looks washed-out.

    I believe I see some minor smoothing but no obvious tooling. Like Pish and the others, It looks fine to me as well---far better than my modest small coin:

    I don't see any tooling, and I don't think a tooler would bother with it. Tooling is typically seen on coins where a VF grade gets turned into EF. I like your coin very much, but it only grades F in my opinion - tooling would look too obvious on it.

    I am going to say that the coin is okay and just has minor smoothing.
    Either way it is a nice coin that most people here would love to have in there collections.
