what would u change our coins designs too. i think its about time we change the current designs. here's my ideas 1 cent - obverse: Ronald Regan Reverse: mt. rushmore 5 cent - davy crocket, the alamo 10 cent: teddy Rossevelt, grand canyon 25 cent - Rosa parks, Flying Bald eagle 50 cent Ben Franklin, Turkey dollar Mlk, bald eagle flying eagle over golden gate bridge 2 dollar John adams , uss constitution
You'll never get Davey Crockett or MLK Jr. on a coin. Rosa Parks... maybe? But even she might provoke enough opposition to keep it from happening. Likewise with the Alamo, it historically has nothing to do with the United States since it was the war for Texas independence from Mexico.
I vote for no more deceased people on our coins. There surely has to be nice designs that would be more creative than that.
This is what I'd like them to do, even if it was just for a year, for circulation. Indian cents Buffalo nickels Mercury Dimes Barber quarters Walking Liberty halves Peace dollars and a comm. set with a 1/2 cent, 3 cent, half dime, and 20 cent piece.
