I am a relatively new collector, i started about three years ago. My collection mainly consists of westward journey nickels, about 10 wheat pennies, bicentennial quarters. My best coin is my 1909 VDB cent that I found accidentally placed in a roll of 1949 pennies that my grandma gave me.
Very nice to have new collectors. I am located in upstate NY and have been a collector for over 60 years. I am not a dealer. I have a bit of a problem in that I have thousands of US coins and my family (wife, two sons and daughter in-laws and six grandchildren) are just not interested. Therefore, having many duplicates (example - over 1000 Indian Head cents) I am going to start selling them-have bought many over ebay and have a 100% positive feedback.
