Bring back Miss Liberty . With a soaring Eagle on the reverse . Doesn't have to be semi naked just a decent design . rzage
Bring Back Old Coins I personally would love to see proof/mint sets with Liberty from the past. For instance, create sets based on the coinage from 200 years ago. A recreated 1808 set would be sweet. Wishful thinking I guess.
As a special collector set I'd love that. Wouldn't want to see it in ordinary circulation though... what's the point of a new design that isn't at all new? Heck just about anything new would be nice. (Why I voted for everything...) Within reason of course. I'd just hate to see them switch to a new design and then stick with it indefinitely as they've done with just about everything to date. I'd love to see them actively enforce a rule that any given coin design MUST be changed after it's run for 25 years (not just that it MAY... say that it MUST!). That multiple reverses every year... that should be limited and not done indefinitely. The state quarters were nice but you have to stop at some point... Christmas is special because it doesn't happen every day!
I hear you and I agree with every point. What I'd like to do is actually get some designs up to show. Ruben
Which eagle of the previous versions did you like? I'm partial to the flying eagle, but the new Silver Eagle Commem is nice and the front of the Clad is also nice. I like the Morgan Buzzard, but it is not so much as nice as it is nice on the Morgan. Ruben
that was supposed to be with a flag...and yes the founding fathers would have appreciated that, and I'm quite serious about that.
I think the minute man idea is a great one. But can you imagine the potential fuss about putting a gun on a coin?
Starting the the Greek Era? Why do so many people want to repeat old coin designs? How did those designs happen? With creativity and the desire to do something new. Ruben
In the right context I don't see why it should be a problem. BTW - I loved the Delaware state quarter design. Ruben
I neat all U.S. design, though I'd like that too But i think it would be neat to re release old us designs (on the same denomination as the original) and release them like the state quaters for a year or 2. I think it would show the proggesion of us coins to the public as well as ispire better "new" designs for future coins.:high5: and it would be cool too
Our national bird was almost the Turkey. Maybe we should have a coin with a nice fat Tom on it. It would certainly stimulate everyone's appetite. (Except vegetarians). Bruce
this is a bumper year for Turkey. I saw a few upstate this year, they first I'd seen ever in the state. Ruben
