Hello. Looking for some advice for correctly handling coins that came directly from the mint.
I sell these on ebay and want to "do right" for my customers and certainly dont want to do anything to diminish the value of the coins.

I carefully take the coins out of the mint tubes and put them in air-tites or flips using white cotton gloves. So far, so good.

On a couple I have noticed smudges or dust so I wipe them off with a suede cleaning cloth.

I have read on a few posts on this forum about not polishing or cleaning coins. Am I doing anything wrong by wiping them with the cloth?

    Thanks in advance!

They're probably scratched. Look at them with a loupe under cross lighting. You'll probably be able to see where you wiped them.
