New "cash register" find :D :D LARGE CENT!!

I have my girl at Cumby's trained too well, they pocket all the silver they used to save for me.
On the other hand they save me all the rest so shouldn't complain when they give me goodies like this

I hate to say I see alot of that up here, people spending their passed down "mason jar" collections rather then taking the time to have them checked out. When I was working a register I usualy offered them a better deal then just spending them. Surprisingly most of them prefered just to spend them rather then take the 10 minutes for me to check them out 1st.

 

If it was a stolen collection, I'm sure a thief would check the coins out before spending them.

HEHE like i said i got my girls all over the area watching their change drawers for me. Even still I have to admit this is the 1st time a large cent has turned up, is usualy junk silver or a few war nickels.

 

For us amateurs, how do you go about turning a girl?

Not necessarily... I've heard of druggies who have stolen collections and just poured all of the coins into coin machines such as Coinstars without a care as to what the coins might be or that they may be worth more than face value.

You'd think so, but I've heard many stories of people who steal say, silver dollars then just try to spend them at face value for things like gas, beer, cigarettes, etc. Don't assume just because someone is smart enough to figure out how to steal something that they're smart enough to know the value of what they stole.

Maybe one of these days at a coin show I will have the opportunity to meet the "luv" in person.
