Like I said I took a few sets of modern set down to the coin shop to trade. Made a little more off them than I thought. I wanted that 1800 1/2 dime, but they had sold it. I went through the coins and immediately pulled out that 1795 half dime. Continuing through the boxes I found the 1820/19 - low grade, but a variety I needed. Right as I finished the box he brought me a stack of 5 CBH's. Needless to say I picked the 1811,1817 and 1820. Then while standing there I looked through the case and saw another 1806 quarter - I could see the die cracks and knew it was a different variety from last week. Varieties can be found in pictures names.

Is there such a thing as a "you suck" award on this board? I can't assist with the variety attributions, but I love your new pieces. :kewl:
We need more smileys, like the NGC/NCS board has, so we can better express ourselves. Ribbit Ps: Hey CB, I'll dig the hole :stooge: if you'll push him in.
Mark: Very nice, but 1) the varieties don't show ( I don't get he picture names). 2) you must have dumped a LOT of moderns!
LOL - if you look at the number of coins 32 modern (3 -6 coin sets, 3 - 4 coin sets) and I got 6 coins. I did have a nice amount left over. I did tell the dealer the next time he has a coin I want I will have him hold it and I will bring down the rest of the two coin sets and extras that I have. The only moderns I do not plan on letting go of are the silver eagles, proof sets(and variations) and maybe a few other odds and ends that I like. Maybe by then I will have found a market for that 1882 IHC. Like him, I agree moderns are nice, but these early coins are much nicer even in the lower grades.
