Welcome. I too have a few Kooko's, only one is proof. 2000 2oz proof. Number 303 of 750.

  4. thank you for your acknowledgement, i started collecting them in 1991, in that year i got the 1, 2, 10 once proof coins and liked them so much that i got each "big coin set" each year from 1992 up to 2002 when i retired. i was going to sell them when i retired but the "tight fisted" dealers only wanted to pay "bullion" value, i told them where they could stick their "bullion value" and i kept them. i personaly think they are the best looking sets of proof coins ever. mike.

  7. thanks, i'm having a lot of fun browsing your threads, there's a lot of very interesting info on them. i don't collect coins now except for the ones i find with my detector and they aren't in a good collectng condition. the best i've found wasin 1995 back in the uk, it was a "voided long cross hammered silver penny" of king henry the 3rd, it's not worth much but the feeling you get from holding something that old is marvelous. mike.
