I've just published a new book entitled The Roman Sestertius: A Collector's Guide. 306 pages, 360+ enlargements (~x2) of coins, biographical sketches of all personalities, lists of common types for each, chapters on the history of the denomination, coin features, alterations to watch out for, patinas, buying tips, even sestertii in the movies, etc. I've been in love with the sestertius since I first saw one at age 2 in 1954. This is my love letter to them. Published in color (hardback and paperback) and in black and white (hardback and paperback).
