I just received my ATB Block Island Quarters from the mint. I usually get a 100 count bag from each branch of the mint for the folders for my kids and grandkids. When I opened the bag of Philadelphia minted coins and was surprised. Of the 100 coins, every one has die chips or die cracks across the back of the Black Heron. Some are just little die crack to large die chips.
Only found 1 so far. It's sitting on my desk as I try to build out a few circulated sets (not really sure why, just a random goal )
Up Date: I ordered 3 bags from Philly, a bag from Denver and 3 rolls from San Francisco. Of the 300 Philly quarters, only 4 were NOT with a crack or chips. Still need 6 more to fill the albums for the Grandkids.
Look, Philly is famous for a vile sandwich which is actually coronary artery disease on a roll. The city pretty much deserves its reputation.
'Update' is one single word (and it's not capitalised. Only the first letter of a sentence,a proper noun - that's a name - surname or Christian).
Update' is one single word (and it's not capitalised. Only the first letter of a sentence,a proper noun - that's a name - surname or Christian), as well as a business/corporation's name, and acronyms, i.e.Laser. These are basic grammatical rules, and as someone so 'concerned' about your kids, etc, remember; you set an example. You want to raise kids or grandkids who are illiterate? It's frightening how quick the avg intelligence of English-speaking people in three of the world's highest GDP's it's plummeting - in spite of such 'benefits' as technology. Coins are nice, but make sure you help to raise smart, literate offspring
Yeah, I just noticed it being old too. BTW, you can get a better version of that "vile sandwich" across the bridge in Jersey. No need to pay the bridge toll. Bruce
I agree with the sentiments expressed but this isn't the place for them. In fact the only thing you said that fits here is, "Coins are nice." Well-said, there.
