New article on coin circulation and an old book - Ancient History from Coins

I was doing some reading on coins I have or have on the way and ran across an article uploaded to academia.edu. The site is a place where authors can post their academic papers. The interesting one today was on coin circulation Turkey.

While reading this article, I ran across an interesting web site on The Ancient Coins of Thrace ( http://www.corpus-nummorum.eu/index.php ). I think I entered a black hole or tumbled down Alice's rabbit hole. Before I found my way out I bought another coin book -
Ancient History from Coins by Christopher Howgego

Wow, the Thrace website is fantastic! I tried signing up in order to access other features but the Captcha image is broken so I can't complete the process.

It looks like I can easily fritter away half a day reading the links you posted. Thanks?

By the way, how is "Howgego" pronounced? I'm never sure so in my head I've changed it to "Howie-GoGo", which is easier to remember but he might not appreciate it .

 

I hear it as How-gee-go in my head. I stumbled on that Thrace website a month or two ago. It really is all kinds of nifty.
