Little by little continuing to add more greek silver to my collection, here is a nice Siglos of a bull/wheat I really liked.

Nice Greek @Mat ! Cool you are oozing into the Greek Area...

I do not have a plethora of Greeks, and I only have ONE Bithynia:

I got this one because it depicted Mithras... not too many coins do, and this was the origin area of that religion. This later became the religion of the Roman Legions.

Nice coin @Mat . I like the details of the stalk of grain / ear of corn. I wonder if we could tell the type of grain on the coin?

    Cereals
The general term for any grain grown for food is frumentum. The word "corn" also referred to grain, but not as the corn (maize) known today.
    Romans ate:
    • Wheat
    • barley
    • oats
    • rye
    • spelt- - far - its use was gradually only reduced to using for cakes of the confarreate ceremony

I see Mat's coin as exceptional for this often poorly centered type. His bull has horns!

It could be worse! A fourree:

Sweet coin Mat! I don't have one from Kalchedon but I do have a bull riding a dolphin from Byzantion.

I can’t see my grain and no mill sail either.

I should have been more direct about how much I love the details on the grain of Mat’s OP coin. Now I want one like it. Thanks Mat, my want list grows again.
