New aquisition 1805 quarter thoughts on grade & value

    Not sure about grade or value but appears you have a die clash here. See where I've marked. There looks to be the top of the 1 from the obverse and other elements from obverse. 1 1805 quarter.jpg

    Fine-12 condition. I would need clearer photos to tell if it has been cleaned or not (the obverse look fine the reverse is a little pale) $900 or so would be the value depending on if it was cleaned or not.

    Yep, die clashes just did not get into the pictures like I would have liked.
    I do love me some Bust coinage (one of my favorites) for this very reason & some of the very first presidents could have paid for a beer at the tavern with it.

    It is a Browning2 variety ,R.2 rarity. Very fine (20-25) details reverse scratched.

    Yeah it's cleaned.
    They had it as a vf cleaned coin with a price I could live with.
    The PCGS photo grade vf 25 looked very close so I pulled the trigger.

    I'm quite happy with it (for what I paid) even cleaned/scratched.
