Team, <--- I got this from Bone and I like it..."Team" :thumb: So, I was doing some browsing on Teletrade and noticed what appears to be two different versions of the new ANACS slabs. See the pictures. Notice that one has all of the gold trim around it. I think all the gold makes it look gaudy. Unfortunately, I think this is the one they've chosen to go with. Check out the other one. It looks like it doesn't have all that cheap looking gold foil and it has a lighter background blue color. I like this one a lot better. I wish they would go with it instead! Notice on both of them that you can see smeared ink on the bar codes on the backs. I've e-mailed ANACS to see what they have to say about that. I'll let you know if I get a response back. So, do we already have two versions of the new holders? Note: I borrowed the pictures from Teletrade.
I heard that they had a few kinds out.....they did so many and then decided to make a change I think. More and more I'm going with NGC...in fact I hope to send some more out soon. Speedy
They need to be a lot more careful with how they handle the inserts. Sure some people may say "oh come on, it's just ink!" When people are paying decent money they expect things to come back in great condition. QUIT GRABBING THE INSERT WHILE THE INK IS WET. I've printed hundreds, if not thousands, of labels for my family and know better then to grab them right away (using many different printers too). I saw one slab that had a rather large smear across the grade. Really nasty looking. I bought my first NGC slab last week. Very pleased at how they look. I'd rank them right next to the old ANACS slabs. Love the look.
UPDATE: ANACS Customer Service department sucks. I've e-mailed two or three times with different questions, none of which were too aggresive or nasty by any stretch of the imagination...just questions. One of the e-mails I sent about 1.5 months ago was just regarding some specifics on how to submit things and the other a week or so ago asking about the new holders. Guess what, not one word back. I guess that tells you where their minds are at...not on the customer.
What customer service? I asked them (ANACS) if they would still slab using the 'classic' holders (not a net grade) if it was specifically stated on the submission, they said they would, and what do you know? Coin comes back in one ***** new holder with the FREAKIN GRADE PRINTED CROOKED. At least the slabs crack easily and no tools are required.
