I went to my local favorite dealer and picked up a few what I thought were needed coins. Never go to the dealer without the list. I bought the following... 1971 Malawi 10 Tambala in UNC 1964 Reunion 1 Franc in toned XF 1948 St. Pierre & Miquelon 1 Franc in BU (this is only one of two type coins ever minted, the other being a 2 Franc). 1949 Angola 10 centavos AU 1949 New Caledonia 1 Franc in AU 1960 Mozambique 10 centavos in XF St. Thomas-Principe 20 centavos in XF plus, and these are the only new ones I needed... 1980 Tokelau Islands 1 Tahi Tala in UNC, and a 1690 Gelderland in VG. Whether I keep the doubles is up for grabs.
Fred,I have got both the Malawian 1971 10 Tambala & the Tokelau Islands 1980 1 Tala. The word 'Tahi' is the Tokelauan word for '1'.It is also the same thing in Maori as well. Aidan.
Thanks Kiwi, I picked a much better condition Gelderland 1783 Duit(F), a 1751 Liege 1 Liard(VG-F), a 1765 1 Duit from Indonesia:Zeeland(VG), and a 1808 Netherlands East Indies:Batavian Republic (VF-XF) recently as well.
