    Macrinus - Roman Emperor: 217-218 A.D. - Silver Denarius 20mm (2.88 grams) Rome mint 2nd emission 217-218 A.D.
    Reference: RIC IV 24 var. (rev. legend); Clay Issue 2; RSC 62 (Antioch) var. (same).
    Laureate and cuirassed bust right
    PONTIF MAX TR P P P, Securitas standing left, holding scepter and leaning on short column.

    Securitas is chillin' looking so cool!!

    Very nice JBG. This particular issue seems to come in EF in abundance. Here is mine but slightly different:

    Note the beard growth between the JB and Bing coins. Many of us feel the need for two coins of Macrinus. I did but neither were this reverse nor EF. They were bought for the beards.

    Short beards are easy to find on Provincials but I do not have a really long beard Provincial. Does anyone?
