1991, 10 Bolivianos. .925 silver. 27 grams. Mintage 50,000. About 38 mm. Proof. Commemorative. NOTE: I did not take this photo, but I illustrate it as it shows the coin shot straight on. Note the camera lens reflected, as well as the finger holding the camera. When I receive the coin, I will post my images of it! I really like Bolivian silver. The coin shows mount Cerro Rico. Located in the Bolivian Tin Belt, Cerro Rico de Potosí is the world's largest silver deposit and has been mined since the sixteenth century, producing up to 60,000 tons by 1996. Estimates are that much silver still remains in the mines.
Below, a 1953 Belgium .835 silver, 20 Francs. Ø 27mm. Weighs 7.95 grams. Legend in Dutch "Belgie", has medal alignment. Reeded edge. The rampant lion has its paw on the "LAW", "lex". I like the profile and the helmet, and the fact it is silver. Not seen in this shot is the nice luster, it shines! Do zoom in. Baudouin I was the ruler, Gary in Washington
