I've wanted to get a Seated Liberty Silver Dollar for my post-1800 US type set and I finally found a decent, affordable specimen:

It's hard to tell from the scan, but Liberty is complete and the scroll edges appear to be raised. There's just a hint of luster left.

I'm thinking VF-35/EF-40 on the grade.

    Thoughts?

I think EF might be a bit of a stretch, of course all I have to base it on is the pics. But I would certainly feel comfortable with saying VF30/35. Nice coin ;)

I'd give the reverse an XF, as the wear seems really light. The obverse shows the wear more, and looks VF... so you get a VF. I like it though! A nice original coin! I like them with lots of that 'patina' (that sounds nicer than crud, doesn't it?). It could go XF with some graders, who knows?

Gorgeous original coin. I grade it XF 40.

From the pic I see that Liberty is not full but everything else has great detail! So maybe VF-30. B12

Nice coin, but it's such an ugly dark color. You should throw it in the pocket of your jeans and run it through the washer.

If you do any such thing to such an original nicely toned coin, I will hunt you down and put you in a jeans pocket and put you in the washer. :D ...Mike
