and to my surprise one was a Wide II !! Got these at a local show last week dealer had them priced reasonable at $22 , $24 , & $27 but got them even cheaper since I took all three !! Pretty happy with the deal !! Now I just wish I could afford a membership so I could get them graded . Opinions on grade welcome , as i wondered if the corner bend or the black lines would effect the grade .
Nice notes, I don't believe the black marks should be a downgrade. If I am correct (and hopefully somebody will correct me if I am not) those black lines are "cut lines" or where the notes where supposed to be cut as they were shipped to banks in sheets and employees at the bank then cut the notes themselves. I believe that is why you see so many notes from the 1934 & 1935 series of silver certificates with such poor centering. I am very happy to find any in either series AU or better condition and well centered. My personal opinion - If you want it.....well your gonna get it anyway!! lol, the top note ef, middle ef if tha's a small bend on the top left corner, if not then AU, bottom AU-unless those are a few small wrinkles I see on the top edge. I may be picking things up that could be just form the pic/scan that are not there, but either way, I would be happy with them.
Indeed you are correct as the black lines are merely alignment marks as suggested. There will be no deduction in grade for these are on many many notes. The corner bend will deduct points, how much. well that depends on the 3 graders and their opinions. Nice one's Mr. Reaper..keep up the good work. RickieB
