The BEP announced many $2.00 new bill are being produced these two months. Anyone knew which banks at New York City will have them?. And what is the exact address?. Thanks.

It's unlikely that currency printed in the last few months will reach circulation any time soon. The most recent $2 printing I've seen in circulation is the first run of E..A, from last October. So it could easily be Christmas before the recent B..A printings get out. (Or they could turn up tomorrow; you never know....)

It's also not guaranteed that the B..A $2's will be released anywhere near New York. The requirement that new currency always be issued from its "home" district was dropped in 1983; since then, the BEP can ship any new currency to any district, as needed. We just have to wait and see what turns up where....

Best bet is to go to your local bank you do business with and ask them if they can order new $2 bills for you. They may or may not be able to get them. I know my local Wells Fargo can order new $2 bills for Christmas for people to buy to put in cards but every time I try any other time of the year, so far I get a mix of circulated bills and bills that are new or barely used mixed in the packs.

Finally I got some from Citibank here at sunnyside queens. And all were used. That is good for me. First time to get them.

The BEP wouldn't know because they don't distribute notes to your local bank. They ship them to the Fed.

After several years. I got what I want. 100 pieces of crisp uncirculated two dollars bill at face value. The teller even ask how many I want. But I only have $200 on hand during that time. And what is the point that I get more. I think enough is enough. I am contented and happy.

After 30 year or so looking for banks and never have any. I found two banks that supplied me $3,600.00 worth of new $2.00 bill these three days period. The last offer by a teller, I even rejected her. Cause I run out of money.

That's pretty amazing that it's taken you this long.

I've gone to my credit union and had them pull from the vault new sequential bundles of any denomination I've wanted, even $2s.

Plan to increase my $2 hoarding to $4k or 20 straps of crisp uncirculated note. I wish I could have a box unopened one. No way that the bank will give me that. Or if so, they will open the box and check it. Or even run the counting machine on each strap. Which they are dump.

Any particular reason you're hoarding all those $2s? The 1995-2013 and most 1976 are only worth face value.

Waited 30 year to have them and I love it. Afterall, the bank deposit will not earn any amount or interest that will satisfy me. Not like the old days that interest rate is more than 10% up. Now it is 0.01% or even zero percent. So why not keep it at home and enjoy what you like or the hobby that we like.

keeping new bundles is pretty neat to look at. The more "fabric" feel of the notes is completely different from circulated ones. IMHO

Yes, that is true. Before I did keep same number of new one dollar bill. It took me two years plus to completely finish using them. But the one dollar is very much easy to get them back.

Total star note for $2 bill since 1976 is 27,120,000 piece.

    1976 - 15,360,000
    1995 - 1,280,000
    2003 - 3,840,000
    2003A - 704,000
    2009 - 768,000
    2013 - 5,168,000

Total pieces of $2 since 1976 is 1,473,568,000. Wow, a lot. But if you compare to other denominations. $2 is simply too few.

If you can order new $2 bills from one of your banks, if you order a full bundle of $2000 it should come wrapped in cellophane with 10 packs. That's how I get my new $1 bills when I order a block of $1000.

Some teller insist to count them thru counting machine. That a minus for collectors.

Yes, I know they do. I tell them PLEASE, do not run them through the machine because they leave black marks on them and collectors don't want the marks. Fortunately, the tellers I deal with won't run them through if I ask them not to. You just need to find a bank that will honor your wishes.

Why reject her just because you're out of money.?
