Thats a very nice 21 Peace Dollar. I think you made out very well IMO. I gave $135 for mine in XF40. Its a bad pic but here it is.

You're right....pictures are hard to grade by and can be touched up. But, just based on the pics you have given, I could see that coin in a 65 holder. I would also be careful to make sure the surfaces are original and not dipped.

Nice... really clean cheeks and fields.

Yeah... look very carefully under a loupe to ensure there's no brush / whiz action goin' on.

When you get the coin, take a close look at the tip of the nose; also around the T.

Very nice coin. I think you did pretty good. Philly, that is a possibility, but it can also be from lighting, touchup as was said, etc. Will have to wait until he gets the coin, and gets some pics, only time will tell. Good luck.

    Mark -

It's the area around the T that has me worried. I'm thinking I see something there that is partially hidden in the shadow of the pic. If it's what I think it is, then the coin would be body bagged. If it isn't ..... - well we'll have to see.

The hit on the nose is a prime focal area, so that would limit the coin to a 64. I can't really see anything else besides what I mentioned about the T. But based on that pic I'd bet a lot that pic was taken with the intention of making the coin look better than it really is. I hope they have a return policy pal.

I have a feeling when you get it in hand you are going to either have an au-58 coin in hand, or a altered coin. Something just doesn't look right to me.
