I apologize for duplicating this note in another forum. This stuff doesn't happen to me everyday and I'm excited. Thought I'd share the news. I found a 1900-O Morgan with a couple of die gouges on the obverse. One is in the R in PLURIBUS, the other is below the I in the wheat stalks. Couldn't find it listed in the VAM Book or any of the updates. Sent it to Leroy Van Allen. Turns out to be a new discovery. He designated it VAM-2C. I own a "one of kind" (until tomorrow when people start checking their 1900-O's!!!). Norm
CONGRATULATIONS Super nice photos Norm! I wish I could do that. Did you send the coin for verification or just the photos?
I sent photos, the coin, and return postage. It was sent back within one week, along with a nice letter and the photo he took for the supplemental updates.
