    Earlier this year I took a gamble on a 10-coin lot of coins because I saw what looked to be a nice Johannes in the mix. Well today it isn't about that coin! Another attractive coin I received as part of the lot was this follis of Constans II, Byzantine/Eastern Roman emperor. It is definitely a worthy upgrade to the only other Constans II I have. I'm proud to say that the final price divided, I only paid close to $5 for it. :smug:

    Oh, and the coin I really wanted from the lot did turn out to be Johannes :woot:

    From wiki:

    Constans II, Byzantine Empire (641-668 AD)
    AE Follis
    Obv: EN TVTO NIKA, crowned, wearing chlamys, no beard, standing, holding long cross and cross on globe
    Rev: Large m, ANA in left field, cross (or star) above, NEOC to right
    Mint: Constantinople (Mintmark: Gamma II in exergue)
    Ref: SB 1000

    that's pretty darn nice for the type VK! I can't ever remember seeing a bronze of his that doesn't look like it was rode a bit hard and put away wet.

    here's mine(if you see two coins sorry....right is constans ii, left is Heraclius with son and wife)..

    Super pick-up, Jango => a coin from a fairly rare century (it's a winner)
