Never seen a Lincoln like this....

Would really like maybe an estimated value as I have never seen a Lincoln cent or any other coin like this. This appears to me to be fully collard but with a completely blown die? What do you'll think, does it carry any value or just a real interesting piece of coinage?

It seems to be a cud error but will see what others say.

Dusty, It is not a cud as the reverse is inverted and the obverse is push out

It IS a cud. as the metal pushed up into the broken die there wasn't enough pressure created in that area to leave an impression o
n the reverse. one of the indicators of a large cud is a weak or missing impression on the opposite face of the coin.

Ziggy, it is that the metal is balooned up exactly like a bubble. Say that your looking a a flat planchet and it was all there even the collar, then somehow you blew a bubble from one side up into the other leaving a hole reverse and bubble obverse. That wouldn't be a cud I find them all the time. I will take some side pictures so you cann see. Thanks

See what I mean now it is balooned out like there was air or liquid between the die and planchet.:thumb:

    Yep,

That's a large cud. The void in the obverse die filled with metal and since there was no pressure opposite the cud on the reverse... that area was not struck up.

Nothing else is going on there... I think that one even shows up in the cud book as a known cud. I have seen examples of this cud before.
