Okay so I'm kinda new to all this and need some help. These coins don't look normal to me but then again I'm a newbie.
Assuming the reverse is normally centered, the 1979 is probably from a misaligned die. Unfortunately, it has no additional value. The missing S may be a filled die (grease or other stuff fills the fills the recesses of the die), but I think it may be weakly struck. When the coin is struck, the largest area for metal to fill is the shoulder area of Lincoln. STATES is opposite this area, so if the striking pressure is set a lower or the gap between the dies is a little larger, the coin won't be fully struck. Some may disagree, but I've seen weak STATES on a lot of Lincoln's and believe this is reason. Once again, there is no additional value.
