Hi I'm new here and to coin collecting. I have a collections that I received from my Dad. Really could use some help determining value, if any. I thought I would start with these. Not in the best condition but what do you think?

I think 1891 since they didn't make them in 1881. Liberty nickels. I would suggest getting a "red book" from the library or buying one on Ebay, (you can buy one a couple of years old for little money), and read up on US coinage. There are a lot of great sotries and a lot to learn.

Yep... the '91 is worth about $1.25 and the '06 less than a dollar; you can always check completed listings on eBay.

OK! Thanks you all for your input. I will look into getting one of those books.
