Need some help identifying an overstrike

These 960 reis coins were struck over a huge variety of silver crowns from the Americas and Europe. I bought this one online without even noticing the overstrike but it's clearly visible in-hand. I can see an "R" or a "P" and a little cross on the obverse. Does anybody recognize those design elements? There's also some lettering barely visible on the left side.

Lima, Peru 8 reales. The JP assayer mark and position relating to the little cross gives it away :)
