I'm trying to catalog this coin I recently picked up and can't really match it up with anything. It kinda looks like a CLAUDIUS II AUGUSTUS 268-270 AD - but the eagle is facing the wrong way (L not R). It seems like Claudius because of the pointy nose - but I can't say for sure because of the wear. Any info will gladly be appreciated - Thanks again!
If you go to his Wildwinds page (thumbnails) and press CTRL F and search for eagle, you will see a few. You are not going to be able to identify it for certain unless you can read the legend on the obverse.
Yeah - unfortunately that ain't gonna happen - thanks - I'm off to searching your page info you gave me.
i'm not aware of that bust and reverse type belonging to anyone other than claudius ii, but could be wrong.
