A couple of weeks ago I asked a question about Ottawa, Illinois notes in the National Currency series. Well, I found this just tonight: http://www.ebay.com/itm/330728016506?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 It appears to either be pre-federal banknotes or a private draft. The guy noted on the face of the note is a pretty famous local guy. His bank doesn't exist anymore but his house (and the various monuments he "commissioned" for himself) still do as well. The note is in rough shape... do you think its worth that much? Especially for a local issue that probably didn't see too much national circulation, if at all?
