China, Northern Song dynasty, Emperor Zhe Zong (1086-1100), Yuan You period (1086-1093). inscription Yuan You Tong Bao (Yuan You Current Coin) clockwise. Hartill 16.260-16.262 (can't determine exact variety from your picture). Hartill lists as Very Common, value $2. Hope this helps.
Well, I guess you could view it that way. I prefer to look at it as "Wow, such old and historical coins are available so cheaply! I can collect them, even on a tight budget!" Of course, if you want to spend a lot of money on old Chinese coins, you can also do that; there is a variety of the OP coin with mintmark "Shan" on reverse (Hartill 16.265) that is listed at $750. Also, I like that $2 bill. That's the rare variety where they accidentally used Jefferson's baby portrait?
Why am I being edited for posting the truth? Or would you rather have incorrect information posted? As the member in question is posting disinformationand incorrect information on coins daily and no one seems to care about that at all.... do they ....censor the truth no problem!
