Do you folks have any idea what this may be? I don't believe its a coin but then again I have no idea what it may be. The exact image is on the other side of the token??. Its about the size of a quarter. Any ideas thrown out will be appreciated. Oh, this was found metal detecting. Thank you, Jim

I think its a hobo nickel, which is a carved buffalo nickel. Look at the one of the current contests. I could be wrong though

If the other side is the same, I don't think its a hobo. Maybe just a token of some kind? I'm sure someone here knows.

If it is an ancient, it's well struck, in my opinion. My experience with ancients is that they're either weakly struck, off center, that sort of thing. This doesn't appear to be. I have no clue as to what it is.

If it hs the same thing on both sides then it is most likely a fantasy of an ancient coin.

The hole in the top makes me wonder if it might be a zipper pull. Back in the 70's a clothing line used "coins" as zipper pulls. They all had a hole at the top and the same coin image on both sides. One that shows up a lot is a two headed Washington piece. Everyone is always convinced that it a real colonial coin from the 1790's and they often have stories about how it has been handed down in the family for over a hundred years.
