determining what the errors on these coins would be. They are dimes but aree as thick as a nickel. They are the size of regular dimes but are thicker than normal. Any ideas? I'll try to get pictures on except they aren't coming out at all. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Okay, try describing the designs and words on the obverse and reverse to start.

They look like regular dimes, except their collars are a little thick and have a curved line through the collars. Any ideas?

    Phoenix:
Curved line, thru the collar. The only thing that I can think of is a glued coin.
    Can you post pictures?

I'm pretty sure it isn't glued. The curved line doesn't go all the way around, just through part of the collar. I'll try to get pictures up today.

One possibility is wrapping machine damage.

We really need to see some quality pictures! ;)

Cellphone camera photos won't do,because of their extremely poor quality.

I'm going to try to get my scanner to get photos onto the computer today. Might be tonight but I'll try to get pics on here. Thanks for the help so far.

They said what it was in that other thread - it's the result of a misaligned die.

Ok, thanks. I sorta missed that. I have about a full roll of these misaligned dies then. Any value? (I did see the four bits post, didn't understand that. Sorry if this is a dumb question, just want to know if I should spend them or not.)

No, they have no value to speak of, that's what the 4 bits referred to - 50 cents maybe.

The misalignment is small enough to be common . . . but "thick as a nickel?"

    I don't get it.
