Hi, I hope this finds everyone having a wonderful weekend... kinda cool here...
I found this nickel in change and wondered what this error would be. It's dark brownishgreen? grins.. well it is.. really odd color, and looks clean in really good shape. no silver color shows anywhere like a reg.nickel.. I dont think it is a reg. nickel.. my husband said he thinks it's copper.. would copper be this color? the weight is about the same as a reg one.. you have any ideals what it might be?
also while Im here.. I have a north Dakota that differen't.. has some kind of blackish stuff all over it. I got it out of a roll looking like this. I see that in places it looks like it's down in a layer maybe, in these places it's more of a black-blueish color.. any ideals?

hard to say for sure but I would say the nickel was in the ground for a few years, I found similar discolorations on dimes and quarters(clad),

Silver coins I have always found to be blackish
